Airship do Brasil establishes cooperation agreement with Canada
This week in São Carlos, a city within the state of São Paulo, Airship do Brasil an enterprise that specializes in lighter than air technology will greet within its headquarters, Canadian visitors to talk about themes pertaining to international cooperation to develop airships.
Alex Krell, Trade Commissioner for the Aerospace, Defense and Security sector of the General Consulate of Canada in São Paulo; Dr. Barry Prentice, President of the Buoyant Aircraft Systems International (BASI) company and; Technical Director Engineer of BASI, Dale George are expected at ADB’s installations on Thursday, February 22nd, so both parties can discuss further development of the bilateral project proposal.
The aforementioned project touches upon the development of a cargo airship that can haul up to 15 metric tons and withstand both temperature extremes, being that of tropical Brazil and the artic-tundras climes of Canada. Airship do Brasil and BASI have already developed the initial stages, which comprises a Memorandum of Understanding. The airship will initially be baptized as ADB 3-15 and may bring about a revolution in logistics pertaining to hard to access areas in both countries.
The initiative is based upon an established bilateral cooperation agreement signed between Canada and Brazil within the “Science, Technology and Innovation Agreement” of 2010.
